Gregory L. Kissel has had over 29 years experience in railroad operation. Prior to joining the Western Group, L.C., he served as Vice President of Operations for the Railroad Management and Consulting Corporation. He was responsible for the operations of the following railroads: Little Rock & Western Railway, East Tennessee Railway, Galveston Railway, Wilmington Terminal Railroad, KWT Railway and Copper Basin Railway.

For a period of approximately 14 years, he was employed by Union Pacific Railroad where he served in a number of positions, including terminal trainmaster (Denver, Colorado), trainmaster (Ogden, Utah), district trainmaster (Omaha, Nebraska) and division superintendent of transportation (Baton Rouge, Louisiana).

In 1987, he became general manager of the Copper Basin Railway and was subsequently promoted to vice president. His extensive knowledge and experience in railroad operations and management contributes significantly to making the Western Group one of the most successful short line operators in the United States.
